No HOA Hassle Here

September 30, 2021 Patio Contractor, Patio Design

Improving your home can be both exciting and stressfull, but we try to take away the stress so you can focus on the fun. The red tape gets rolled out when you have to work with the HOA and since most areas require a permit or HOA approval for outdoor living projects, headaches can happen. Leaving you thinking, “is this even worth it?” The answer is YES! Texas Custom Patios will handle the headache for you, so all you have to do is be excited for your new custom outdoor living space.

Your project developer will work with your HOA and get approval for you. Just provide a lot survey to us and we will do the rest! If you live in a municipality that requires a building permit, we will handle every submission, inspection, and approval required. Depending on the location, this process can take between four and six weeks, so patience is a virtue!

Once we get the green light, the building process can begin and the fun is within reach! At Texas Custom Patios, we really get to know our customers. When you choose to build with us, you get your own project team who will get to know you, your goals, and your style, and will oversee your entire outdoor living project, from start to finish.

We also get to know your budget! When we say “exact quote,” we mean it. This quote is not an estimate, and there will be no surprise expenses during the course of your project. If changes or additions are made during the construction process, we will address those changes as they occur. If there are options you would like to see in the design process, your project developer may give you some pricing that addresses those options prior to signing the contract.

Schedule your free consultation today by calling our office (below) or filling out our contact form, here. We will set up a virtual appointment with one of our experienced project developers – after your initial appointment they may need to visit your home to gather additional information. If we can provide an outdoor living project that meets your budget, then we will create a proposal for you.

Award-Winning Outdoor Living Projects

July 25, 2020 Awards, Patio Design, Project of the Month

The Texas Association of Builders (TAB) was excited to announce 394 projects made the finals of the 2020 Star Awards. This year saw a record breaking 624 entries from 54 cities across the state of Texas.

The out-of-state judges reviewed 187 categories and select the best in Texas. TAB launched the Star Awards program in 1992 and it remains the only statewide tribute to excellence in the residential homebuilding industry.

Winners were just revealed at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas during the Sunbelt Builders Show™.

This year’s entries showcased the outstanding work of builders, remodelers, architects, designers, sales professionals, marketing professionals, construction professionals and industry leaders in Texas and surrounding areas. With nearly 200 categories to choose from and hundreds of entries each year, it’s impressive to be recognized.

We are proud to announce that Texas Custom Patios was nominated in four different categories and we won all four! It’s an honor to be recognized among other elite builders. Here are the projects that impressed the judges!

Winner 50 – 75k

This older home needed a backyard make-over. The family needed some shade, a nicer area to entertain, and a built-in kitchen. For details and pictures on this entire project, click here.

Winner 75k – 100k

The homeowners wanted to add about 850 square feet of outdoor living space, so we added an expansive kitchen, living room and dining area. We worked through the existing drainage issues, and added Astro Turf. Now the home is complete and perfect for entertaining! For details and pictures on this entire project, click here.

Winner 100k – 125k

The customer had an existing pergola with arches that were on its last leg. They wanted to remove the deteriorating pergola and add a space that could add the “wow” factor to the backyard when they looked out their living room window. They wanted a space that could blend with the architecture of the home along with the design of the pool. For details and pictures on this entire project, click here.

Winner 125k – 150k

This project needed remodeling in both the front and the back of the home. This gorgeous patio was done in a contemporary style complete with an outdoor dining and living area. For details and pictures on this entire project, click here.

Tablescaping Your Patio Table

March 17, 2016 Outdoor Living

It may be March, but at Texas Custom Patios we’re gearing up for summertime and all the festivities that brings!  Pool parties, graduation get togethers, Memorial Day grill outs are all on the calendar, but first … let’s talk about our Easter celebration. It could be a huge family affair or maybe just you, your spouse and the crazy kids, either way, let’s make it memorable.

Plan Ahead

Host a beautiful brunch without all of the hassle.

  • Bake the tart shells for your chicken salad the day before; store in an airtight container. Warm them in the oven about 3 minutes.
  • Blanch your veggies and make your dips (store in refrigerator)
  • Make carrot soup the day before. Reheat, adding extra broth, if needed.

Decorate

We found so many incredible ideas, some DIY and some easily bought!  Sweet little ideas like tying tulips with a simple pastel bow to your cloth napkins.

Simple Easter Table IdeaWe also discovered other adorable centerpiece ideas using carrots, dipped eggs and more!  Check out our Pinterest page for hundreds of inspirational ideas that you can actually do!  Southern Living has some fantastic videos with a step-by-step guide to creating a gorgeous centerpiece.  Think outside the table and decorate the entire patio with potted beauties … click here for 108 creative container gardening ideas.

Our Customers Love Us

Texas Custom Patios did an absolutely stunning job creating the perfect living space for our backyard. Our project included a covered patio, a kitchen area to house my husband’s Big Green Egg, stamped concrete, a seating wall, and a gas fire-pit. Everything that I requested was heard and respected and even expanded upon, and I was able to see the backyard that I had envisioned (and much more) become a reality in a matter of weeks.
