Recipe of the Month: Rodeo Round Up

February 26, 2018 Outdoor Cooking

In Texas it’s all about the rodeo right now, Houston’s bulls are a buckin’, pigs are a squealin’, and the rest of us are eating!  BBQ, fried Oreos, big-as-your-face cinnamon rolls… anything we can wrangle, we will eat!  So for this month’s recipe of the month we thought we would do a rodeo version with Texas Beef Brisket, smoked coffee, deep fried cookie dough and more!  These recipes will have you saying, “giddy up!”

Margarita Shrimp – We start healthy before we go in for the kill!

BBQ Jalapeño Poppers – Well that didn’t last long!

Texas Beef Brisket –  The secret is in the fruit wood!

The Donut Burger – We warned you, anything goes when it comes to rodeo food!

Deep Fried Cookie Dough – In case the donut burger wasn’t enough.

Smoked coffee – the perfect ending to any meal!

Try these and let us know what you think, yeeeee-haw!

Recipe of the Month: The MVP Guide to Grilling

August 17, 2016 Outdoor Living

It’s that time of year where everyone gets together for a football and food frenzy.  If you can’t be at the game, aim for the next best thing:  watch the game with friends in the comfort of your own outdoor living room.    So ditch the truck tailgate and fire up the grill in your backyard for a “pigskin” pregame party.

When establishing your outdoor kitchen, don’t limit yourself to a little charcoal griller out on the driveway.  Your outdoor cook space can be fully stocked with every appliance and convenience you need for cooking a backyard football feast. Just think about cooking outside without having to make trips back and forth into the house!
Consider all the elements of a high-function cooking area:
  • Built-in gas grill
  • Sideburner
  • Pizza oven
  • Drawers and cabinets
  • Raised bar top and counter space
  • Sinks
  • Refrigerator
  • Ice maker
  • Wine cooler

… just something to think about!

Now to the game day grub!

How ’bout something to wash it all down?

Our Customers Love Us

Texas Custom Patios did an amazing job on our outdoor living space! Everything from the initial meeting to the finished product has been wonderful! Steven listened to our ideas, asked questions, and then came back to us with a design that was even better than we dreamed! The crews that came to work on our project were incredible. The final result is an outdoor living space that looks as if it has always been a part of our home… not something that was added on. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to add outdoor living space to their home!
