Since 1992, the Texas Association of Builders has recognized the talented builders, remodelers, architects, and designers within the Lonestar State. In 2022, the association received an astounding 600 entries. We were pleased to have 3 of our projects are Star Award-Nominated in the room addition and outdoor living room categories!

Award-Nominated: A Modern Room Addition With a Poolside View

Built to match the style of a classic mid-century modern home in the Houston area, this outdoor oasis of a pool house included space for working, entertaining, and, of course, relaxing by the fire.

Star Award-Nominated: Outdoor Living Done French-Country Style

The cascading steps, elegant arches, vaulted ceilings, and cream limestone walls are distinctly European yet somehow fit perfectly with the rustic Texas home.

Award-Nominated: An L-Shaped Dream Within a Backyard

We added over 550SF of covered space surrounding the pool area to create a contemporary outdoor retreat with privacy from neighbors and custom finishes reminiscent of a boutique hotel.

The Texas Association of Builders (TAB) announced the 2019 Star Awards winners on Aug. 8 at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas. The Star Awards are given annually in conjunction with the Sunbelt Builders Show™ to recognize excellence in all areas of the homebuilding industry, these awards are highly-coveted within the industry.
There were a record setting 575 entries submitted to judge. The judges were industry experts from across the nation.
In 1992, TAB launched the Star Awards – the only statewide tribute to excellence in the homebuilding industry. The annual competition showcased the outstanding work of builders, remodelers, architects, designers, and sales, marketing, and construction professionals in Texas.

Awarded Best Of Houzz 2019

Awarded by Community of Over 40 Million Monthly Users, Annual BOH Badge Highlights Home Remodeling & Design Professionals with Top Ratings and Most Popular Home Designs

January  2019 – Texas Custom Patios has won “Best Of Design, Customer Service, Design Photography” on Houzz®, the leading platform for home renovation and design. The turnkey custom design project builder was chosen by the more than 40 million monthly unique users that comprise the Houzz community from among more than 2.1 million active home building, remodeling and design industry professionals.  This is the 4th year in a row for Texas Custom Patios to score this coveted title!  

The Best Of Houzz badge is awarded annually, in three categories: Design, Customer Service and Photography. Design awards honor professionals whose work was the most popular among the Houzz community. Customer Service honors are based on several factors, including a pro’s overall rating on Houzz and client reviews submitted in 2018. Architecture and interior design photographers whose images were most popular are recognized with the Photography award.

A “Best Of Houzz 2019” badge will appear on winners’ profiles as a sign of their commitment to excellence. These badges help homeowners identify popular and top-rated home professionals in every metro area on Houzz.
