Decorating for Fall, Y’all!

October 1, 2020 Outdoor Celebrations, Patio Design

Fall days are the glory days where you enjoy a warm beverage, sit back, relax and enjoy the view. The temperatures are dropping… people are getting in the autumn spirit, but in Texas the leaves don’t change colors until a little later, so creating the “change in season” illusion is up to us… with decor!

Whether your outdoor space is small or big, decorating for the new season can help you get in the mood. Just a few small touches here and there can help transform your space from spring and summer to all about fall. It doesn’t have to be all orange either… mimicking fall foliage can be done by using mustard colored decor, burgundy, cream, olive, taupe and tan.

10 Easy Essentials for Outdoor Fall Decorating

  1. Colorful Mums (they come in a variety of colors and sizes)
  2. Dried corn or cornstalks
  3. Layer with hay
  4. Spiced scented candles
  5. Cozy throw blanket and outdoor pillows
  6. Burlap to weave throughout decor
  7. Natural colored rug
  8. Baskets with flannel material draped
  9. Pinecones
  10. Pumpkins (saved the best for last)

Getting creative can be easy, just create little nooks within your patio with some of the essential items listed above. Remember, less is always more!

Our Customers Love Us

Texas Custom Patios did an amazing job on our outdoor living space! Everything from the initial meeting to the finished product has been wonderful! Steven listened to our ideas, asked questions, and then came back to us with a design that was even better than we dreamed! The crews that came to work on our project were incredible. The final result is an outdoor living space that looks as if it has always been a part of our home… not something that was added on. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to add outdoor living space to their home!
