This family was getting a pool installed and wanted us to build a pool house to complete the project.
This home had an expansive back yard with a small patio cover and outdoor kitchen. When they decided to add a pool, they wanted to update the current patio cover and add a freestanding pool house on the back side of the pool.
The new look… new flooring and an updated ceiling. We updated the granite, cabinets and grill in the outdoor kitchen.
The new pool house was constructed opposite of the home, creating a great space for hanging out. It is equipped with a gas fireplace, private bathroom and kitchenette.
The pool house has Pella doors that completely open up the space to the outdoors or close it off. A great feature for living in Houston!
The gas fireplace is the focal point of the room addition. Built-in cabinets and shelving was a must have. The ceiling is a pre-stained American Nut Brown tongue and groove.
A small kitchenette was built into the corner of the pool house. It is equipped with custom cabinets, an ice maker, fridge and granite counter top.
This pool house is 540SF with a small 150SF of open porch off the front. The flooring is a Versailles pattern travertine tile.
A small bathroom complete with walk-in shower was built as a part of the pool house.
We also installed an outdoor shower for use before or after swimming to rinse off.
We worked with Mark, who came to us with plans and fully explained the costs, materials, timeline, and talked about the construction methods. The project was well organized, with a new crew arriving once each stage of construction was completed. I kept a photo record of it, which was fun and friends are wowed by the timeline. I completely recommend Texas Custom Patios.
