This home just needed a larger outdoor area and the homeowner wanted the option to have either an open patio cover or a screened porch.
The space was limited, but after removing two existing columns we were able to expand the patio area.
After removing the 2 columns, we were able to extend the roof and build out a space that is about 300 SF. We matched the brick on the home for the new columns.
This outdoor kitchen is built with storage areas, a fridge, and an RCS grill. The stone fascia is the same stone as used on the seat walls on the outer patio – complementing the brick and flooring choice.
Retractable screens were added to all of the openings (behind the grill and the other sides) in order to turn the space into a screened porch. The flooring is light walnut travertine.
With the screens down, the interior is protected from the sun. A great way to stay cooler and keep the bugs out.
Ryan, our project manager, was both attentive and patient with every request, question, and concern that we raised at any point throughout the duration of the project. He was always a phone call or text away, responding every time in an impressively timely manner. He listened to and accommodated our requests, but he also offered suggestions to broaden our imaginations as to what we could create with simple adjustments to our design.
