Patio Cover with retractable screens, Kitchen and fire pit area

This home had a small patio cover off the corner of their home and they wanted a much larger space with an outdoor kitchen and a fire pit as well as a space for a water feature.

A nice evening on the patio

Outside the covered area, TCP created a space for a custom fire pit. The flooring in this area is Brazillian Slate from Thorntree. The fireplace is faced with black ledgestone from Legends Architectural Stone. The grass yard was replaced with Brazillian Slate 2″ thick pavers from Thorntree with river rocks added between them.

Retractable Screens

To help prevent bugs and mosquitos from bothering the homeowner, DropShade screens were installed to close off the covered area.
Bromic heaters from Cunningham Gas were installed to help keep the space nice and warm on cooler days and evenings.

Looking into the space…

The covered area is about 350SF with space for dining, an outdoor kitchen and a sitting area. The ceiling is RealTone Fineline American Nut Brown pre-stained tongue and groove. The ceiling beams are wrapped in hardie and painted to match the home.

Sitting area…

This part of the patio cover is dedicated to relaxing. The homeowner created a beautiful backdrop along their fence with decorative plants.

Outdoor Kitchen

The outdoor kitchen sits in the corner of the cover and includes a 42″ RCS grill, side burner, sink, storage and a fridge. The granite is Viscon White from Pomogranit Stones. It is faced with the same black ledger stone from Legends Architectural Stone. A very clean look to the space. All flooring is Brazillain Slated from Thorntree.

Additional counter space

At the end of the space, a bonus counter area was created for extra storage and buffet area.

Our Customers Love Us

I have a lot of experience with construction and renovations, so some contractors find me annoying at best. My outdoor living project was larger than I was able to take on as it entailed adding an outdoor living area, kitchen, dining room, and bathroom with a fireplace and fire pit. It’s built onto an existing structure with a tile roof in a seamless manner. The completed project is amazing, and was featured in the Houzz project of the month for December 2013. It was a very large project so it took a long time to complete, however the process was absolutely painless. In my previous experiences, I have always had issues with miscommunications and added costs, among other things. My experience with Texas Custom Patios included NONE of these issues. The finished project far exceeded my expectations. The workmanship was superior, and the quality of the products is top of the line. I truly highly recommend them.
