Outdoor Living with summer kitchen, firepit and open air patio by the water in Cypress TX

This home had a small covered space that did not provide enough shade or room for the family to enjoy their backyard that backed up to the neighborhood lake. They also wanted a space built down by their boat dock to be close to the water.

Before

The large backyard and small covered space needed to be reinvented.

Total Makeover….

We needed to remove existing columns in order to create the space the homeowner wanted. 400 SF of cover was added and the old covered space was incorporated into this new larger structure.

Outdoor Kitchen

To complete the outdoor space, a 12 foot L-shaped kitchen was built in the corner under the cover. It has all of the necessities – RCS fridge, grill, and storage doors and drawers. The granite counter is Typhoon Bordeaux 3cm from InStyle Granite and Marble. The stone on the kitchen, firepit, and columns is Ashlar dark-cream from Apex Stone.

What a View!

The vaulted ceiling gives this part of the covered space a wide open look. It is finished in Irish Cream pre-stained tongue and groove by Woodtone. We also added this ceiling finish to the original covered area to tie everything together.

Perfect for a Dinner Party

This dining space is perfect for a party or just for breakfast on the patio.

Details…

The flooring is a stamped concrete in a travertine pattern. The custom built firepit is gas burning. The stone throughout is Ashlar dark- cream. The retaining wall, firepit and tops of the half columns are all Light tumbled travertine pavers from QDI cut to fit each position.

Down to the lake…

The patio by the lake was added to enable the family to sit by the shore and enjoy life outdoors. What a way to end the day!

Our Customers Love Us

I have a lot of experience with construction and renovations, so some contractors find me annoying at best. My outdoor living project was larger than I was able to take on as it entailed adding an outdoor living area, kitchen, dining room, and bathroom with a fireplace and fire pit. It’s built onto an existing structure with a tile roof in a seamless manner. The completed project is amazing, and was featured in the Houzz project of the month for December 2013. It was a very large project so it took a long time to complete, however the process was absolutely painless. In my previous experiences, I have always had issues with miscommunications and added costs, among other things. My experience with Texas Custom Patios included NONE of these issues. The finished project far exceeded my expectations. The workmanship was superior, and the quality of the products is top of the line. I truly highly recommend them.
