This home had very limited outdoor covered space in 2 different areas and the homeowner needed a larger space to entertain, cook and hang out.
The backyard had a small patio cover and was in much need for a make-over.
We extended the small patio cover making it about 460SF – giving the homeowner plenty of space to entertain. A built in seat wall defines the space.
The vaulted ceiling with a gabled roof really opens up the space. The ceiling is Woodtone English Porter prestained tongue and groove. The columns and beams are wrapped in stucco to match the home.
The outdoor kitchen is L-shaped with a grill, side burner, storage and an outdoor rated refrigerator. The appliances are RCS and the granite is Viscount White 3cm. The stone on the kitchen, seat wall and bottom of the columns is Ashlar Belfast thin veneer stone.
We poured a total of 1600SF of concrete and covered it with light brushed and chiseled edge travertine from QDI. It is laid in a Versaillas pattern. All of the selections blend seamlessly.
We worked closely with a pond builder to create the backyard space. The koi pond gives the new space a sense of being at a spa – so relaxing and enjoyable.
A unique staggered formed concrete pathway was created along the side of the home. The large stones are surrounded by Blackstar gravel.
Texas Custom Patios were a great pleasure to work with on our outdoor addition. They listened intently to what we wanted to create, and gave expert advise on how to make it work. The workers were extremely professional and very clean. The workmanship was superior and the quality of products used was the best. Almost a year after completion they are still in contact and making sure we are still pleased with their work. I could not imagine not using them for a project.
