This beautiful outdoor living space is in the heart of the Memorial area in Houston. A quiet retreat tucked in among a very busy city.
This multi-use space was created to allow for comfortable living outdoors. A spacious 2-room feel with vaulted ceilings and travertine floors. A beautiful stucco accent wall hides the fact that this is attached to the back of the garage.
The recessed can and rope lighting in the vaulted ceiling creates a very comfortable living area. We actually installed an outdoor AC to help keep them cool on really hot days.
This fireplace has hill country charm written all over it. The central attraction to the sitting area! A wood burning (or gas log) fireplace that has a reclaimed hemlock mantle is the perfect place to be sitting next to on those chilly days and nights.
The outdoor space is a perfect pool house…there are great views to the pool from the sitting area, so parents can keep an eye on the kids in the pool.
The large outdoor kitchen has space for everything. A green egg, a grill, and plenty of counter space to prepare and serve the family and friends that will be over while they are entertaining.
The outdoor kitchen area flows into the long dining area and right into the sitting area. This outdoor living space has it all!
Just another view of the whole space.
Here is the overgrown back yard with an old greenhouse that was removed. What a difference we made in this Memorial area back yard!
I totally love our transformed backyard, which faces west and is consequently quite hot in the summer; the table umbrella just didn’t do much. Now we have a better patio, much more sophisticated looking and professionally done to match the existing house so it looks like it was always there. Great job!
