A beautiful renovation for this backyard gave the homeowner the outdoor living area they desired. A space that included a living area, a dining area, a firepit and a summer kitchen.
Here is the home before we updated their backyard. Notice the multiple roof lines and landscaping that we needed to work with.
The patio cover we added has a beautiful American Nut Brown Real Soffit ceiling. The columns are wrapped with textured hardie and have stone bases. We removed the original windows off the living room and installed the 4 panel sliding door to create a seamless transition from inside to outside.
Off the master bedroom, we removed the existing window and landscaping and added French doors to allow for a small sitting area.
This summer kitchen is equipped with a gas grill, storage and a fridge. There is plenty of counter space for prep and serving. A raised bar area was built to add additional seating.
The perfect way to create a warm feel … this gas firepit has Azuria Blue fire glass with a glass wind guard that also keeps the heat in and looks great. The built in seat has the same Austin Stone as the kitchen fascia and the column bases.
This outdoor living room has approximately 500 SF of covered space. The flooring is a stamped overlay. In adding this patio cover, we needed to resize the second floor windows in order to build the roof with the correct pitch and to tie into the existing roof lines.
I am beyond impressed with the quality of the materials, the sub-contractors hired, and the overall final appearance of this project. This was our first experience with a contractor/home improvement project (beyond changing out shower heads, etc.), and I must admit that I am a little terrified to tackle anything else… I have been spoiled by Texas Custom Patios. Thanks, guys!
