Outdoor Living Room in Telfair – Sugar Land

This large outdoor entertainment space was exactly what the homeowners desired to complement their new swimming pool. This covered patio completes the backyard with plenty of room for grilling or hanging out after a dip in the pool.
Before
The homeowners wanted an outdoor entertaining space, complete with a pool, but the original 20 feet tall patio cover did not provide coverage. 
We added a room to the second floor, creating a ceiling for the patio cover. The roofline was extended out and along the side to create this 945 square feet space.
The modern fireplace, faced with the same tile as the outdoor kitchen, is the centerpiece of the living room. It provides a texture contrast to the stucco walls around it. A bathroom and storage closet were built at the end of the covered space.
A half bath was built for pool days or parties.
The 1″ thick travertine pavers in light ivory make up the flooring, continuing throughout the pool decking, giving the space a continuous look. Roll down shades filter out the strong sun in the afternoon.

The 12′ outdoor kitchen includes a double-sided burner, RCS Pro Series grill, and a Firemagic vent hood. The backsplash tile is linen texture. The island is 8′ long with a sink, fridge, and storage.

This outdoor living room and kitchen are the perfect outdoor space.
