This home had a small patio cover that just was not big enough for their family. We had to figure out a solution for the upper windows and they still wanted some uncovered space by the house for lounging in the sun.
As you can see the home had 2 upper windows that needed to be removed in order to add on the gabled patio cover.
The new patio cover with the high pitch and open gable really opened up the space. The herringbone pattern of bricks where the windows used to be is such a great look.
The fireplace is fully wrapped in travertine to match the existing pool coping. The light color really creates a great focal point.
The kitchen is equipped with a grill, refrigerator, and storage. It has plenty of counter space. There is high top seating along the back side of the granite counter.
This covered space is 385 square feet. We redid the surface of the entire patio with a stamped overlay — including all of the area around the existing pool.
I am beyond impressed with the quality of the materials, the sub-contractors hired, and the overall final appearance of this project. This was our first experience with a contractor/home improvement project (beyond changing out shower heads, etc.), and I must admit that I am a little terrified to tackle anything else… I have been spoiled by Texas Custom Patios. Thanks, guys!
