This home is on a very large lot and they wanted a space to host family and friends. This pool house was created with that in mind.
Here is the backyard prior to adding the pool house.
This pool house is about 950 SF that includes a bathroom, an outdoor kitchen, a fireplace and plenty of space to hang out.
The fireplace is a 42″ gas insert with herringbone pattern from Perfection Fireplace. The stone is Rhinestone Chop thin veneer from Legends Architectural Stone. The built in window seats are a nice addition to the space.
The pool house has retractable screens in all of the openings that can be closed to help keep the bugs and mosquitos at bay. The pool table is a nice addition which allows games to be played year round. Heaters have also been installed to keep everyone nice and comfortable on chilly days.
With all of the space here, there is room to host large parties. The dining area is off the kitchen and having the bar area for additional seating is a plus.
The kitchen includes an RCS 38″ Cutlass Pro grill, side burner and outdoor fridge. Other appliances are Firemagic softclose doors and drawers and a Hoshizaki ice maker from S.T.E.D.
The counters are Cosmos granite from Daltile with accents behind the grill and above the vent hood is Glass Capri Riverstone Ivory from Floor and Decor. The small sink is just perfect for rinsing out dishes and keeping hands clean.
The floor throughout the space is a Versailles pattern Light travertine tile from QDI. The ceiling is prestained Woodtone American Nut Brown with cedar beams that have been stained a darker color. All of the wall finishes are stucco painted to match the home.
A full bathroom was built as a part of the pool house. The shower wall tile is Ivory Beige from Distinct Stone Solutions with a glass mosaic accent Lux Aqua Bleu Bazaar from QDI. The shower floor is small travertine tiles in Nysa also from QDI.
The pool house added the much needed entertaining space this family wanted. The actual pool was updated with new coping and pool decking to match the flooring in the pool house. A small fire pit was also built to let the family enjoy time under the stars.
The yard is now a full retreat space!
Ryan, our project manager, was both attentive and patient with every request, question, and concern that we raised at any point throughout the duration of the project. He was always a phone call or text away, responding every time in an impressively timely manner. He listened to and accommodated our requests, but he also offered suggestions to broaden our imaginations as to what we could create with simple adjustments to our design.
