The homeowner was struggling to find a solution to create an outdoor living area because of the existing roof lines and drainage issues that existed. The space is outfitted with a premium Bose wireless sound system. Brick arches and flagstone flooring add to the beauty of the space.
The original covered area on the back of the home was not big enough to provide the space the homeowner wanted or needed.
We were able to solve the drainage and roofing problem by designing a slightly pitched roof that used a TPO waterproof barrier and custom crown molding trimmed veneer.
The new outdoor space was built off both the home and the garage. This space created a great outdoor area for entertaining.
The client had a freestanding fireplace on the patio already that was removed and a new one was custom built into the design of the outdoor living space. The fireplace has a natural gas starter and a travertine cap with a reclaimed hemlock wood mantle. This feature truly helps create the living room atmosphere that the homeowner was going for.
With the high ceiling, we were able to incorporate brick arches and coffered ceilings to provide protection from the elements and to contribute to the classic Southern plantation formal look of the home.
With arched openings and coffered ceiling the patio cover is a great space for relaxing and watching the big game.
The homeowner does a lot of entertaining and loves being able to expand to the outdoors – even on chilly nights.
Texas Custom Patios were a great pleasure to work with on our outdoor addition. They listened intently to what we wanted to create, and gave expert advise on how to make it work. The workers were extremely professional and very clean. The workmanship was superior and the quality of products used was the best. Almost a year after completion they are still in contact and making sure we are still pleased with their work. I could not imagine not using them for a project.
