The homeowner had an existing brick patio without a cover and a large backyard. Their home had a breezeway and is a U-shaped home. Their desire was to fill in the U-shape and create a much larger space for entertaining and enjoying their back yard.
Here is the before shot of this home. It was in need of a transformation – and they got one!
The new space is about 650SF. A large area that is just outside their French doors. The brick patio was removed and a new stamped concrete floor was added with a large format tile pattern. The brick fireplace was painted to match the rest of the home so it would blend in seamlessly with the rest of the home.
The new patio cover tied in the breezeway making a seamless connection from the home to the garage. The half stone columns have hardie finishes that are painted to match the home. The stone is Blanco Chop Natural from Legends Architectural Stone.
A large natural gas fire pit was constructed at the end of the patio cover. The stone matches the columns and the capping on both is Fine Line Collection Camelot flats from Apex stone. Drainage in the yard was addressed by adding French drains with black river rock around the patio.
The ceiling is Smokey Bourbon pre-stained tongue and groove by RealTone Fine Line. The new outdoor living room allows this family to enjoy their backyard.
We are really impressed with Texas Custom Patios. Everyone involved with our patio project did excellent work. Not only was all the work done properly, and efficiently, the people were all great. Marty did a superb job of keeping us informed, and everything on track. We would highly recommend this company to anyone.
