Expanded Outdoor Living Area in Houston

The homeowners desired an extended outdoor living area to create their personal retreat. They purchased the corner lot next to their home and demolished the old, small home on the property so that they could build their dream backyard retreat.

After demolishing the small home, TCP created the foundation for the new outdoor living space.

This outdoor living area features a full kitchen, bathroom, fireplace, storage closet, and easy access to the game court and pool.

This kitchen features a Big Green Egg, large gas grill, microwave, sink, ample storage, and counter space, along with a full-size fridge in the storage closet.
 
This spacious area lets the family entertain outdoors, featuring a pool cabana for kids with parents nearby. The ceiling showcases smoky bourbon tongue and groove pine, accented by cedar beams and columns.
The area boasts two fire features: a fire pit and a fireplace. A carport provides parking, and the space includes over 1700 SF of concrete with travertine tile, with covered areas totaling about 1200 SF.
A small bathroom is at the end of the space, with an outdoor shower in the back.
The homeowners enjoy a great view of their retreat with an outdoor kitchen, arched walls, and fire features in complementary veneer stones. The electrical setup includes coach lights on columns, dimmable recessed lights, ceiling fans, and LED step lights on the hearth and seat walls.
The outdoor living area includes a pool, a covered patio, and a new sports court, complete with a landscaped yard by a TCP partner company.
