Different roof heights and other obstacles created a design challenge for this patio cover in Colleyville. The solution was a bayed, double-pitch hip roof! Outdoor living is much more enjoyable with shade.
The different roof heights required some modification of the existing roof.
Carriage lights on the columns provide attractive lighting for the pool area. The columns are just 6″x6″ posts blocked out a little bigger and wrapped in fiber cement siding so they have a smaller footprint for this tight space than a brick column.
The design allows for two separate seating areas. By designing the patio cover to match the higher roof height, the project seems even bigger with high ceilings. The ceiling is finished with a pre-stained tongue & groove pine in Texas Honey Brown color.
I am beyond impressed with the quality of the materials, the sub-contractors hired, and the overall final appearance of this project. This was our first experience with a contractor/home improvement project (beyond changing out shower heads, etc.), and I must admit that I am a little terrified to tackle anything else… I have been spoiled by Texas Custom Patios. Thanks, guys!
