The homeowner wanted a backyard retreat – a place to come home and relax and to entertain family and friends. They wanted a pergola, but didn’t want it to be just one long rectangular shape.
We added 690 Square Feet of outdoor living space that connected seamlessly with the different roof lines of the original home.
The flooring is English Walnut Travertine in a Versailles pattern. With space for a dining area and a sitting area, the homeowner is able to accommodate any size crowd.
A small kitchen was added that includes a grill and a refrigerator and some counter space for prep and serving. The knee walls add a boundary to the covered area in order to create that outside room feeling.
The cedar columns and mountain blend chop stone give the entire project a rustic feel the homeowner was wanting.
A fire pit was added at one end of the patio for those long lazy evenings. A great way to make memories with family and friends.
I totally love our transformed backyard, which faces west and is consequently quite hot in the summer; the table umbrella just didn’t do much. Now we have a better patio, much more sophisticated looking and professionally done to match the existing house so it looks like it was always there. Great job!
