The homeowner wanted to add a covered space that had enough seating for a crowd to gather to watch some football! The existing cover was already tall, so we just worked off of that to create this stunning project matching the brick of the home to give them a seamless addition.
The addition came off of their existing kitchen area to create a nice flow into the new seating area. A beverage counter and bar was added for easy access while watching the game.
The concrete is a rock salt finish with a color hardener similar to the existing color of the pool deck. We added brick columns with heavy mortar to match the existing style of the mortar finish on the home and added a brick wall to put the TV. To provide additional coverage from the weather, we recessed the TV in the brick.
The ceiling is painted 4×8 beadboard ceiling to match the existing patio space with LED recessed cans and fans. The 5′ diameter fire pit is filled with lava rock then covered on top with a blue fire glass to match the existing fire glass behind the pool area.
Here is what we started with… what a great new space this homeowner has.
We had very high expectations when Texas Custom Patios began construction on our back patio space. Because our roofline has a steep pitch and the odd location of our chimney, we were concerned about whether the addition would flow seamlessly with the rest of the roofline. Steven and his crews far exceeded our expectations. Professional and attentive to our concerns, Texas Custom Patios created the outdoor space we’ve always wanted – only better.
We are continuing with virtual appointments as we move forward. The safety and health of everyone is a top priority for TCP. Virtual appointments have been very successful - having the ability to screen share with you the many possibilities for your outdoor living is something we focus on. We look forward to speaking with you and setting up a time to get started on your project. Give us a call, and we can start the process today.
