The homeowner had an existing outdoor kitchen and patio that was built original to the home. They wanted to add an additional space to relax and entertain that faced the pool. This freestanding space includes a fireplace to allow for them to use it year round.
We elevated the patio cover to add dimension and to give a unique perspective of their back yard living area. Due to the elevated height of the structure, we included a wrought iron railing to enclose the structure.
The stamped concrete is in a tile pattern to continue the pattern and color that is currently around their pool. Stacked stone was used for the facing and heath of the fireplace. They wanted the columns to be of considerable substance so we did them as concrete.
The ceiling is sheet rock with a texture and paint that was matched by our painter to their existing ceiling. Ceiling fans were added for comfort of Houston’s summer heat. Recessed lighting was added to make the perfect setting for any occasion!
I am beyond impressed with the quality of the materials, the sub-contractors hired, and the overall final appearance of this project. This was our first experience with a contractor/home improvement project (beyond changing out shower heads, etc.), and I must admit that I am a little terrified to tackle anything else… I have been spoiled by Texas Custom Patios. Thanks, guys!
