Recipe of the Month: Peach Basil Sweet Tea

The warmer weather inspires us all to sit on our back patio, sip something sweet and enjoy the view.  So we came up this Texas classic and gave it a tasty twist.  This two-step tea will having you doing the Texas Two-Step because it’s that good!  We promise!

 

Sweet peach tea

Peach Basil Sweet Tea

2 family-size tea bags
1 cup loosely packed fresh basil leaves
2/3 cup sugar
3 cups peach nectar
Crushed ice
Garnish: fresh basil or mint (pictured) sprigs

Preparation

1. Bring 8 cups water to a boil in a large saucepan. Pour boiling water over tea bags and basil in a pitcher; cover and steep 6 minutes.

2. Remove and discard tea bags and basil. Add sugar, stirring until dissolved; stir in peach nectar.

Okay, maybe three steps …

Serve over crushed ice and enjoy!
